EVENT MANAGERS WANTED STARTING MARCH 2023

Mesa is looking for an Event Manager to work alongside our dedicated events team in 2024. The role is responsible for ensuring a high level of food preparation, service and customer care. The Event Manager will be involved in setting up events, running the schedule for the day, liaising with the client on the day, assisting prepping, cooking and serving whilst living the companies values of delivering outstanding events and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have Event Management experience. However, we will happily supply training to less experienced team members.

This role is mostly for Saturday’s during the Spring/Summer season.

Good communication skills are essential, along with a professional and friendly outlook. This is a customer facing role.

This role is based in Bristol, but you will be expected to travel to and from events regularly. Transport and full pay will be provided for this.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Consistently serving a high-quality product to clients

  • Delivering a high level of service within a team (1-8 staff) to the client’s specification

  • Managing your own time and ensuring food is well presented and served on time at events

  • Support colleagues and go the extra mile for them where required.

  • Assist your team and guide them with any problem solving required

  • Risk management on site – ensuring that you adhere to health and safety protocols as per training and management instruction

  • Responsible for ensuring that paperwork such as temperature records are completed to a high standard.

  • Loading and unloading for events

Essential experience:

  • Some event / catering management experience

  • Clear communication skills

  • Be able to think on your feet

  • Ability to multi task

  • Ability to think outside the box

  • Great customer service

  • Flexible working hours, mostly weekend work

  • Strong all round communicator – highly organised, ambitious, enthusiastic, and driven.

Desirable (non-essential):

  • Food safety level 1, 2 or 3

  • Clean full Uk driving license with at least 5 years driving experience

The Package:

  • £12.70 – £15.50 per hour based on experience

  • Holiday pay for all 0 hours and self employed staff

  • During peak event season expect roughly between 12-30 hours across the weekends where you are booked onto an event

  • 0 Hour contract – mostly Saturday work

  • Clear path for remuneration increases

  • Lunch on us every Friday if working

  • Invite to annual events

  • Continuous training and development to grow within the world of events

Mesa is looking for Event Crew members to work alongside our dedicated events team in 2024. The role is responsible for ensuring a high level of food preparation, service and customer care. The Event Crew members will be involved in setting up events, prepping, cooking and serving whilst living the companies values of delivering outstanding events and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with food. However, we do offer training programmes for those with less experience.

This role is mostly for Saturday’s during the Spring/Summer season. .

  • 0 Hour contract – mostly weekend seasonal work

  • Clear path for remuneration increases

  • Lunch on us every Friday if working

  • Invite to annual events

  • Continuous training and development to grow within the world of events
